About CRS Calculator
CRS Calculator is a free, independent tool that helps people planning to immigrate to Canada through Express Entry estimate their Comprehensive Ranking System score — accurately, privately, and without sign-ups.
Why we built this
The Comprehensive Ranking System decides who gets invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence, yet the official scoring grid is spread across long government pages and dense tables. Many of the calculators people find online are also out of date — a number still award points for a job offer, even though IRCC removed those points on 25 March 2025. We wanted a single page that does the maths correctly, explains what every number means, and stays current with the official rules.
How we keep it accurate
Our calculator is built directly on the official IRCC Comprehensive Ranking System criteria published on canada.ca. Every points table — age, education, language ability, Canadian and foreign work experience, spouse factors, skill transferability and additional points — is taken from that source and reviewed against it when the government updates the grid. We deliberately exclude factors that are no longer scored, and we flag where official conversions (such as French test equivalencies) should be confirmed on the government's own pages.
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. We do not ask you to create an account, and the answers you enter are not sent to a server or stored by us. You can calculate your score, adjust it, and leave — nothing follows you.
What we are not
We are an independent information resource. We are not a law firm, not a licensed immigration consultancy, and not affiliated with or endorsed by the Government of Canada or IRCC. Our calculator gives you a well-grounded estimate to plan with, but only IRCC can determine your official score and eligibility. For advice about your specific situation, consult a licensed immigration representative or the official government channels.
Our content
Alongside the calculator we publish plain-English guides on how the CRS works, how to improve your score, how draws and cut-offs work, and a language-test to CLB converter. Everything is written in-house to be genuinely useful to someone navigating Express Entry for the first time.
